LIGHT IN THE SKY
FRANCE, Arcachon, 1957 (6 years old)
My father is back from the Indochina War. We are going back to mainland France. Arcachon welcomes us. In this adorable little town, I learn about childhood. We stay there two years, the time for me to do my kindergarten and first year of preparatory course. I walk past a church with a very high bell tower. One day, I am surprised by a yellow light, very high in the sky. It almost reaches the top of the bell tower. This Light wishes me to remain silent about its presence. I don’t tell anyone. I continue to distinguish it three times as I walk past the church. I never saw that light above the bell tower again.
The bell tower of the Saint-Ferdinand church is a rarity in Europe. Its renovation was completed in 2016. For what reasons, can a light appear above a church tower in front of a kid ignorant of everything? Of course, I later discussed this appearance with my parents. I understood that it was better to remain silent. Simply stick to the observation without trying to explain it other than through an entirely personal feeling. Yes! Something weird had just started that day. My sixth year thus became the first year of my observations, as well as the beginning of my mental turpitudes.
